Walk-ins are welcome on a limited basis—Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM, starting September 2nd, 2025.
We look forward to supporting your healing journey in a calm, affordable, and caring environment.

2. Before Your First Appointment
To help us get to know you better and make the most of your first visit, here are a few simple steps to prepare for your initial consultation.
Q : If it’s your first visit — or if it’s been a while since your last appointment — our booking system will kindly prompt you to fill out a short health form. Even details that may not seem directly related to your main concern can help us better understand your overall health and tailor your treatment accordingly. We're here to work with you as a team on your healing journey.
Q : If possible, please email us a few clear photos of your tongue before your appointment These photos will become part of your treatment chart and help us tailor your care more precisely. They also serve as a helpful baseline for tracking your progress over time. To make it easy, we’ll send you a short video guide on how to take the perfect “tongue selfie”— yes, it’s a real thing, and it’s more fun than it sounds! Preparing for Your Acupuncture Appointment Please complete a quick self-health screening and take a moment to review our checklist of helpful reminders the day before your visit. It ensures your treatment is smooth, safe, and as effective as possible.

3. After Your Treatment
Your needles will be gently removed after about 25–35 minutes. This timing helps us stay on schedule, allows us to sanitize chairs, bolsters, pillows, and slippers, and keeps the clinic space calm with minimal foot traffic.
Once the needles are removed, we’ll:
-
Check in with you about how the treatment felt
-
Offer guidance on booking your next session to maintain progress
-
Share personalized aftercare recommendations—this may include tips from Eastern nutrition, gentle practices such as Qi Gong or Tai Chi, or other supportive lifestyle suggestions to help your healing last longer and be more effective
Our goal is to make sure you leave feeling relaxed, informed, and supported—both in the clinic and at home.
For best results, continuity is key. We encourage you to book your next follow-up appointment before leaving the clinic, as regular sessions can lead to deeper and longer-lasting benefits.
Q : What to Expect After Acupuncture Everyone responds to acupuncture a little differently, and that’s completely normal. Some people leave feeling deeply relaxed, while others notice a gentle boost of energy. Many find they sleep more easily and more soundly after a session. For some, pain or tension may noticeably improve after just one treatment. For others, the changes are more gradual, subtle shifts that build over time as your body restores balance. Occasionally, you may feel a little sore for a day or two afterward. This is usually a sign your body is responding and adjusting to the treatment, not a harmful side effect. Most people notice that once this temporary soreness passes, they feel better than before. Acupuncture works best as a process—each session builds on the last, helping your body move toward lasting health and comfort.
At Caulo Care Community Acupuncture (CCCA), we welcome and honor the richness of human diversity. Here, who you are matters—and you are always welcome exactly as you are. We do not judge or exclude based on income, race, nationality, body type, sexual orientation, gender identity, language, or ability. We believe that healing belongs to everyone. We also recognize that systemic inequality and racism are public health challenges that must be met with compassion, awareness, and community-led solutions. Our space is intentionally created to be safe, inclusive, and empowering—a place where you can feel supported on your healing journey. We are always listening. We welcome the voices and experiences of those who have faced marginalization, enabling us to continue growing, improving, and staying true to our promise of care for all.
Our Services
Our Journey to Community Care
When we first opened, Caulo Care was dedicated to personalized, one-on-one acupuncture sessions. Over time, we began to truly listen, hearing from patients about financial stress, rising living costs, and the life changes brought on by the pandemic and global uncertainty.
We saw a clear reality: while individual treatments are valuable, many in our community could not access regular care simply because of cost. We believe that healing should not be a luxury
—it should be available to everyone.
That’s why we transitioned to a Community Acupuncture model—high-quality, affordable care in a welcoming group setting. This approach allows patients to receive the “right dose” of acupuncture more frequently, which is the key to lasting results, without the barrier of high costs. Since opening in January 2022, we’ve treated thousands of sessions for a wide range of conditions, including:
-
Burnout Syndrome and stress-related fatigue
-
Insomnia & Sleep Disorders
-
TMJ pain & Migraines
-
Tinnitus / Chronic Ear Ringing
-
Gut-Brain Axis imbalances – ADHD, IBS, anxiety-related digestion issues
-
Long COVID & Post-Viral Fatigue
-
Chronic Pain – back, neck, shoulder, hip, and joint pain
-
Menstrual disorders, hormonal imbalance, and emotional health
-
Seasonal allergies, immune support, and preventive wellness
Our clinic is more than just a place for treatment—it’s a safe space to heal, restore balance, and connect with a supportive community. Whether you come to ease physical pain, improve mental focus, or simply feel more at peace in your own body, we are here to walk with you every step of the way.

Private Individual Acupuncture
At Caulo Care, we understand that every healing journey is unique. That’s why we offer acupuncture in both community and private individual so you can choose the environment that feels right for you.
While many people thrive in our community clinic, there are times when a one-on-one session can provide deeper focus, more privacy, or specialized care for your needs. Some patients find that combining periodic individual sessions with their community treatments brings the best results, helping to maintain progress, address specific concerns, and offer extra support when needed.
No matter which setting you choose, our goal is always the same: to help you feel better, heal faster, and live well.
Q : When to Choose an PrivateIndividual Session While our community clinic is wonderful for regular care, there are moments when a private, one-on-one appointment can be especially helpful: You have a new or complex health concern that needs extra time, attention, and personalized treatment You prefer additional privacy to discuss sensitive topics or personal details You need a more detailed assessment for a specific treatment goal, with the opportunity to explore multiple techniques or points in a single session You’re preparing for an important life event, such as surgery recovery, fertility support, or stress management before a big milestone You simply want a quiet, dedicated space to relax and recharge without distraction You would benefit from extended treatment time, allowing for deeper relaxation and a more comprehensive approach to your healing Some patients find the perfect balance by combining community acupuncture for consistent maintenance with individual sessions for deeper, more focused care. This combination helps maintain momentum while giving extra attention to areas that need it most.

Community Acupuncture
We provide individualized acupuncture treatments in a safe, respectful space where your privacy is honored. To ensure everyone can fully relax and benefit from their session, we ask for quiet in the treatment area so as not to disturb others.
During your visit, we will focus on the most important concerns you wish to address first, making them our top priority. Each session is designed to be effective yet efficient, with treatment time kept within 30 minutes—enough to create positive change while allowing us to care for more members of our community. Many patients find the calm, silent setting deeply restorative.
Q : What styles of acupuncture do we use? At CCCA, we practice a gentle yet powerful style of distal acupuncture, drawing inspiration from the NADA(Ear acupuncture), Tung family lineage, Richard Tan’s Balance Method, and the Korean Four-Needle Technique (Saam style). These time-tested approaches are rooted in the classical wisdom of balancing the body’s channels to promote natural healing—often by treating points far from the area of discomfort. For example, a small point on the ankle may help relieve tension in the neck, or points on the hand may ease back pain. This allows us to address your concerns using easily accessible areas of the body while you remain comfortable and relaxed. Every treatment is personalized—not only based on where and how you experience your symptoms, but also on your unique constitution, such as body structure, climate sensitivity, and temperament. This is why two people with similar health issues may receive different point combinations—because your healing journey is as individual as you are. Do we take walk-ins? Starting September 2, 2025, we will be offering walk-in CCCA Only on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm. However, to save you time and ensure we can treat you, we highly recommend calling ahead to reserve a spot. While we will always do our best to accommodate walk-ins, there may be times when we are fully booked. In that case, we may need to schedule your treatment for the next available day. The CCCA can often accommodate short-notice visits for acute concerns, time-sensitive needs, or occasional tune-ups, but patients who visit regularly or frequently will benefit from more personalized and consistent care.

NADA Sessions
The NADA protocol was born in the 1970s, when Dr. Mutulu Shakur and his team at the Lincoln Detox Center in the Bronx began using ear acupuncture to help people struggling with substance use disorders. What started as a groundbreaking approach to withdrawal management soon gained global recognition for its power to calm the mind, restore balance, and support healing.
Over the decades, NADA has been used in diverse settings—from U.S. military programs and VA hospitals, to disaster relief missions with Acupuncturists Without Borders helping communities recover from trauma. Its benefits extend far beyond addiction recovery, making it a trusted tool for:
-
Stress reduction & emotional resilience
-
PTSD prevention & treatment
-
Mental health support
-
Pain management
-
Community-based wellness programs
Today, NADA is embraced worldwide as a simple, affordable, and effective way to support both individual healing and collective wellbeing.
At CCCA Community, we incorporate the NADA protocol into many of our community sessions because it offers a gentle yet powerful way to promote relaxation, balance, and emotional stability for a wide range of people. It is especially suited to the group setting, where its calming effects can be felt both individually and collectively.
That said, participation is always your choice—if you prefer not to receive ear acupuncture, please let us know, and we will gladly offer an alternative approach. For those who would like to experience the NADA protocol, we kindly ask that you remove any jewelry from your ears before your appointment to ensure a smooth and comfortable treatment experience.
The NADA protocol is a gentle yet powerful auricular (ear) acupuncture method that uses up to five small needles in specific points on each ear. Originally developed to support recovery from stress, trauma, and addiction, it has since been widely recognized for its broader benefits to physical and emotional wellbeing.
Q : Why we use NADA at Caulo Care Why we use NADA at Caulo Care: Calms the nervous system – Helps reduce anxiety, tension, and restlessness by balancing the body’s stress response. Supports emotional resilience – Can improve mood stability and promote a sense of grounding, making it especially helpful during times of change or uncertainty. Enhances sleep quality – Many patients report falling asleep more easily and waking more refreshed after sessions. Complements other treatments – Works well alongside both community acupuncture and individual sessions to amplify results. Accessible and non-invasive – The treatment is quick, affordable, and can be done in a group setting without undressing. Our Fees & Our Commitment to the Community
Starting on September 1st, 2025

At Caulo Care, our heart has always been in helping people heal. When we first opened, we focused on individual care, offering one-on-one treatments tailored to each patient. Over time, we began to hear more and more stories from patients who were struggling, not just with their health, but also with the financial strain of ongoing care.
We understand how economic changes, family responsibilities, and even global challenges like COVID have made it harder for many to access consistent treatment. That’s why we made the decision to transition to a Community Acupuncture model—so more people can receive the care they need, as often as they need it, without the barrier of high costs.
CCA provide community and individual private, Your choice will never affect the quality of your care—the number of needles, the techniques used, or the time you receive. Missed Appointments
We reserve your appointment time especially for you, so we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule or cancel. This allows us to offer the time to another patient who may be waiting for care and helps us keep our clinic running smoothly.
If you need to cancel within this time frame, please email us when possible so we can make any necessary arrangements. We truly appreciate your understanding and consideration.
Q : Is there a fee for cancelling or missing an appointment? We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes plans change unexpectedly. To help us manage our schedule and ensure we can offer care to as many people as possible, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, a cancellation fee will apply: 24–48 hours notice: 50% of the session price Less than 24 hours notice, missed appointments, or arriving more than 10 minutes late and unable to be accommodated: 100% of the session price Thank you for your understanding—it helps us keep the clinic running smoothly and ensures that care remains available for our community.
Q : Do you need to pay the fee if you are sick? Your health—and the health of our community—always comes first. If you are feeling unwell or caring for someone who is ill, please stay home and rest. For your first illness-related cancellation, the fee is optional. If you must cancel within 24 hours and it’s within your means, we warmly invite you to consider contributing some or all of the session cost. This helps us cover the time set aside for you, as last-minute openings are often difficult to fill. We truly appreciate your care for yourself and for helping us keep the clinic a safe, healing space for everyone.

Thorough disinfection of the Table, bolsters, and all surfaces between each patient.
-
Self-screening for symptoms of acute or infectious illness before coming to the clinic.

HEPA air filtration to support fresh, clean air circulation.
Well-fitted medical masks are worn when needed, with reciprocal masking if requested. We believe these steps help protect our community while creating a space where you can fully relax and focus on healing.
Our Mission at CauloCare Acupuncture for All
Our Mission at CauloCare – Community Acupuncture for All
At Caulo Care Community Acupuncture, we deeply understand the challenges our community continues to face in the aftermath of a global pandemic and an ever-shifting economy. Illness, stress, and the rising cost of living have created real burdens for many individuals and families in our neighborhood.
In response to this, we’ve reimagined our acupuncture clinic as a community-based healing space—one that remains deeply compassionate, professional, and accessible.
Community Acupuncture is a social-business model that makes high-quality care more affordable by offering treatments in a peaceful group setting. Because you’re sharing the space and time with others, you also share the cost. This allows us to provide effective acupuncture treatments at a lower price, without compromising on your care, privacy, or results.
We know that in many cases, pain and internal imbalances cannot always be fully addressed through diagnostics alone. Acupuncture has proven itself to be a powerful method for:
-
Releasing muscle tension
-
Regulating emotional stress
-
Enhancing Qi and blood circulation
-
Supporting deep, restorative healing
-
CCA allows patients to receive treatment at the frequency they need to truly feel better, whether that means once a week or multiple times per week. This model isn’t just about affordability—it’s about dignity, sustainability, and health equity.
Importantly, your privacy and comfort remain a top priority. Even in a shared space, our team is trained to uphold the highest standards of respectful communication and professional boundaries, just like in any private medical setting.
CauloCare is proud to be part of a global movement of community acupuncture clinics working to transform healthcare, making it more humane, accessible, and rooted in community care.
